Nice gift but worst possible car

Post by Bsuds »

Nice gift for this family but they could have picked a way more reliable car.

This one is rated so very poorly.

Depends on what site you check. Did a quick search for reviews and cars.com gives it a 4.3 out of 5 stars.

The article states:
The Canoe resident was the recipient of a refurbished 2015 Chrysler 200 thanks to Kal Tire, Braby Motors, Fix Auto Collison and SASCU Financial Group, marking the third time they have given a vehicle away.

The car included winter and summer tires, $1,500 in vehicle insurance, plus fuel cards and other gifts.
What was it "refurbished" from? Was it a total write-off from a major collision that killed 3 and had 200,000kms on the clock?

I understand that it is a good gesture and provides positive advertising for the businesses, but ........the maintenance costs could be huge.

I have seen the Chrysler 200 on more do not buy lists than recommended.

Chrysler seems to have more cars on the unreliable lists than most manufacturers.

Unless it's Japanese , or a long running American car name, only trucks from the big 3 go head to head and try to one up each other for the better and still Dodge trucks electronics are not so great IMO.

Still a great gift

Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.

Meaning... Do not unappreciatively question a gift or handout too closely.

btw I agree Chrysler products are :cuss:

I have had 2 Chrysler products. The only new one I ever bought I had no confidence in it and got rid of it before the warranty expired.

Way more than I have ever done for a stranger so good on them.

Ever heard the saying about gifting a horse?

Lada and Yugo are the most reliable.
Gift one to a horse ....hopefully he wont have a long face.

A free car does not deserve criticism. It deserves appreciation and admiration.

Good for her. What a great Christmas gift.

For all the others.....I think we need a "New Topic" of the 60s and 70s genre.

It could be worse...

She could have been gifted a refurbished Chevy branded "Daewoo" product.. Lol...

I do like the body lines on that car tho...

Good for her
Trying to think of something profound, and full of wisdom to place here...any suggestions?
