Five things I hope are declared non-essential

Post by Thinktank »

Churches
Since no one can prove God exists, I hope all churches are declared non-essential.

Small Restaurants
I hope more and more small independent restaurants are declared non-essential, while big factories prepare all our food and sell it to us in paper bags, through a drive-thru window. For our protection.

Farmers Markets
I hope they close up - because they are just too dangerous. There's no way you can stay six feet away in a farmers market. farmers markets are maybe the most dangerous thing we have. I hope some day every piece of food we buy is in a clamshell, for our protection, which is very safe because no virus can get inside.

Festivals.
I started to hate the Peach Festival with all those smiling - dangerous - people. From now on I hope all festivals are online only.

Family Visits
Family visits should be non-essential. We should have one day a year, where people can walk down the street, seven feet away from each other, and wave to their parents who are looking out the window. It will be called "family day."

But I hope the military is never non-essential. No matter what, we should always spend $billions on military and we should give lethal aid to countries where people who earn $100/ month. Lethal aid should always be essential.

What do you hope our government declares non-essential? Libraries? School? Travel? Live music?
