What are the good reasons? I've been in a unisex multi stall bathroom. There are a bunch at my work. Nobody has ever been attacked in them. No funny business has ever happened in them. If a trans person went in to go poop, the only way I'd know the person was biologically male would be if they fart I guess?

I have the right to have a safe and comfortable environment in the gym and in the washroom.
When I see a facility that is specifically described as LADIES or WOMEN'S, I expect that is who will be using the facility.
That is the one I choose to use.
There are UNISEX or non-specific facilities. People are more than welcome to use those.
I choose not to.
People are free to choose to identify as whatever they want. If they want people to respect that, they should respect that other people identify in other ways and there are limitations on those things.
This is not about equal opportunity or equal pay for work of equal value.
Put it this way, if I were a member of the LADIES only gym and they started to let men people in, I would cancel my membership and find another facility.

You claim that people wouldn't know if someone has completely transitioned. Sorry, Bruce Jenner still looks like a man.
There are some nice photos, but I have seen some very convincing drag queens on stage. That's theatre.
In real life, it is often easy to tell. (On a side note: Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner does not believe that trans women should compete in women's sports.)
Maybe cis women have a better sense of it.
Regardless, the person in this story is clearly a MAN. Anyone can see that.
This private business has a business model to serve women. They got a licence for that.
They have done nothing wrong.
They have a client base of women who go there to work out with women.

Where does it say, anywhere, that you have a right to a gym? Besides, you're talking about your feelings. Whether you feel safe, not the reality of whether you are, in fact, safe. I do understand why woman would want to work out in a place far removed from men. I'm not saying that's not a fair want for you or any other woman to have. But what if I'm not comfortable working out in a gym with a man who dresses like a woman? People would tell me to go elsewhere then. Nobody would say "Well, trans people shouldn't be allowed in an everyone welcome gym". Also, how many Men Only gyms do you see? Maybe it's a thing, I don't know. I don't need to work out, I'm just naturally super duper buff.

I'm quite sure you'd quit your gym if a trans woman wanted to exercise under the same roof as you. How appalling that someone would want to exercise around the people she feels more in tune with and judged less by. Gross, ya. Cancel it quick! In fact, make sure you ask for everyones birth certificate when you're about to start working out. A pretty "man" might have snuck in !!!
