Finally planted my garlic today. 15 red Russian and 30 Music. Fingers are crossed.
I'm posting this from Traditional lands of the British Empire & the current Lands of The Dominion of Canada.
I also give thanks for this ethos richness bestowed on us via British Colonialism.

Did you cover them? My dad grew garlic but I don't remember him covering them with mulch for winter protection.

Yes I did, a couple of inches of straw and an inch or two of leaves. Judging by the weather today, 11C, I may have gotten lucky.

There's still some color in my garden! This poppy plant is still blooming even after a few frosts...

Also some volunteer snapdragons don't look too bad.

Kohlrabi in Japan are the size of cantaloupes here. They make pickles out of it.
Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice, at which there is simply no way to become THAT ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.

I planted more garlic a few days ago. Very late but I'm hopeful.

I think you should be fine, QK - it's not been super cold.

I even have violets still blooming in my lawn!

As long as it's done before the ground freezes you will be fine.
