Advice/Experience
k, have a gas fireplace, dislike the fake logs. Can I get just those replaced without having to tear out and replace the entire fireplace? Anyone done it?
Secondly, if I can't can I just get the gas capped .. put in something arty? Never use it.
Thanks muchly

Re: Advice/Experience
Ours is turned off. (as in the pilot light is off)
To stop air loss we have a piece of 2" Styrofoam that is cut to fit the opening. I have thought about painting or pasting a picture on the Styrofoam to make it look better. So far if company comes over I just remove it. (when I care enough)
I suppose you could put different pictures on each side to reflect the seasons.

That's worked out great for me!

We have a gas fireplace and did look into changing the logs. We decided not to do it, although I can't remember why. It seems to be an easy thing to do.
