Re: Gardening 2017: Fruits, Veggies, Flowers
I need to get outside to shovel snow on to my tree bed. It doesn't get snow, being all protected. But I find that if I shovel the snow on to it, it does better in the spring when everything melts. Not today, not tomorrow. Maybe Thursday? I'd rather do it while it is powder, but what can you do . . .
I haven't failed until I quit.

Give the Traditional Canadian Snow Shoveling to your Mexican guests?

That is the beauty of this system, you can make it 3-4 levels high. Just picture stairs........Lady tehMa wrote:Oh for the space to do that! <3

My husband and I have been in the same small house since 1990, with two kids who are now 17 & 19. He bought the house from his parents so he has been in it for a LOT longer. 4 Adults in a house with about 900 on the main. We're crammed in here like sardines - the idea of having a guest room, or a hobby room has long been a desire, we just don't have any space for a hothouse.
We don't even have a garage, just a carport (one of our many "to do" projects).
Hence my desire for a greenhouse. I could do that system in a green house, and hopefully be in tomatoes and peppers all year round!

It would cost too much for heat and light during the late Fall and Winter months. Your tomatoes and peppers will cost yo $20/lb. Greenhouses are only good for extending the growing season.

Spring is near!
This morning I heard the first woodpecker of the year pecking on the chimney.
