And what about today???
My co-worker squalled "what the HELL is that?!?" and we turned to see a blizzard out the office window - thankfully brief but

As some might discover, never get into a trade war with a gardener.
Regardless of who "wins" an election, they always are up against a Silent Elite. Do you believe the extreme poor who voted for Trump ever thought their non-profit support would be slashed right out from under them?

The chives on my herb box on the balcony are growing well, but not much more yet. We usually have daffs and tulips all over the place but nothing unless they are close to the house.

This could be the answer to not a lot of space in your yards for growing.

Yard waste starts up next week for some areas. (Area A starting on Wednesday, March 1st)
I just took a tour of my garden. Some areas are clear while other areas are still covered in snow. Most of my garden beds have mulch on them. This makes raking leaves tricky because I don't want to rake up the mulch that we paid dearly for. Today is a good day for raking leaves though. The mulch is still pretty much frozen solid but the leaves on top are dry enough to rake. I have my bin half full already.

Good points, I've got to get out there and take a look. Today is "photograph snowdrop day" ha ha.
FF, I hope you are having lots of chives coming up, we have parsley greening up.

i had dug a trench and filled it with maple leaves, and covered it with black landscape fabric. I pulled it up this morning and found lots of vermiculture going on, worms now named Steve and Fred and Wesley are all doing their jobs swimmingly.
Rhubarb is coming up and I've got blooming flowers, snowdrops!
Spring cometh.

Columnar Hornbeam I believe. We got most of them cleaned up in the fall but some of those leaves need a good freeze before they come down.Bman wrote: What kind of leaves?

Mother Nature is being a tease this year. Grrrr. So many things on the list. Fighting temptation to uncover the garlic to take a peek....
First yard waste pickup today! And the greenery opens tomorrow!
I bought some Canada coloured dahlia bulbs over the weekend. A bit pricey but it's the 150th so whatever.

Lady T, I started your himalayan blues.
I'll let you know when you can pick em up.

Greenery opening day!
It tried to snow this morning and I can't see the grass yet but I'll go and breathe in the spring scents and enjoy the bright colours.
Whoever decided that grey is a colour should be forced to live in Kelowna for the winter so they can appreciate it.
