Can anyone help me identify these two plants?

Thank you, I knew I knew the name Rhododendron, I just couldn't recall the name. The Hostas, I will have to look up, but THANKS.

Would like to have a quince tree in my backyard. Any hint on which nursery to get it from? Anywhere from Kelowna to further south. I'm in Summerland.
Thanks
Thanks

Try calling Dogwood nursery in West Kelowna, they have a good selection of trees & such and might have that one.BC Landlord wrote: ↑Jun 2nd, 2021, 9:31 pm Would like to have a quince tree in my backyard. You don't hear much of those nowadays, same with mulberries.

Lady, you want to try growing black mulberries? I bought seeds and there are 50 seeds in the package.

^^^ hahaha.
Mine, after frostbite, are recovering slowly. Lost the flowers that had appeared. Tough things are tom plants. But, consider where they came from.
Even with minimal watering, the old fellah’s irises and poppies are putting on a good show. [probably draining root and bulb resources though]? We do need a good rain during night hours.
Carrots loving the weather and my pampering but wonder, in this heat, will seeds germinate? Can’t hover over them as I’d like to do.
Green beans looking great, cucs (had to put crinoline netting over them, quail were pecking) ...some have second leaves.
Spuds are growing like crazy and so have done second backfilling already. Dill is iffy. Kinda tight and coarse.
Lettuces doing fine now covered with nylon curtains.
I don’t recall a year with so many starving quail. Is it due to rain lack and thereby greenery elsewhere not as abundant?

Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice, at which there is simply no way to become THAT ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.

If I were you, I'd call around first - that way it isn't a wasted trip. Not that a trip there is ever wasted, but I find if I can't find what I'm looking for I will rarely leave empty-handed!BC Landlord wrote: ↑Jun 3rd, 2021, 11:19 am

You know, I think I might! I wouldn't be able to get over there for a week or so, though . . .oneh2obabe wrote: ↑Jun 3rd, 2021, 8:51 am Lady, you want to try growing black mulberries? I bought seeds and there are 50 seeds in the package.

Re: Gardening 2021: berries, veggies, trees and flowers!
Last year I posted about my color-changing Asiatic lily.
Well, blooms are finally open and it's orange again this year. Someone last year said I may never see it go back to yellow again - could be right about that. I was kind of hoping it would change again.
Beautiful plants, boy do they multiply. Our orange and yellow are huge, even the 2 new singles we planted last year (red and pink) have probably at least tripled this year.
