Who’s still interested in hockey if so, final round starts today.

btw game 7 of 1994 nhl playoffs was played on June 14th.

First year the Stanley Cup game went into June was in 1992, hasn’t looked back since.

Well that was a hard-fought first game.

But I have a bit of a beef with the cameramen. With pretty well every Oilers game, the one face that's constantly on the screen, McDavid.
Anyone getting tired of seeing it? There's 20 or so other Oilers as well as their opponents, but boy, do those cameras love McDavid.
And now he has a little band-aid on his chin, gotta show that every chance.

Sheese, give us a rest.

That band-aid was cracking me up. I'm sure it was doing a lot of good stuck on that hairy chin. LOL

While he is most likely the best player presently in the NHL both my Wife and I think he is also a very dirty player and don't like him.

The Ref's seem to let him get away with it too which just leads to more dirty play because he knows he can.

I’m kinda hoping Florida will have Tkachuk get under the skin of McDavid as much as possible.

Florida Panthers have 13 Canadian players.

It’s been 31 years since winning team has been from this side of the border.

I do believe the Original Lord Stanley’s Cup can be found on the corner of Front St W & Youge St, Toronto Ontario at The Hockey Hall of Fame.
Yes, I have been there.
There is two Stanley cups. One is a traveler and yes, the original remains in the hall of fame.

Based on what I have seen in games 1 & 2, I don’t think the Cup is coming north in 2024. Unless Edmonton can pull a #1 goalie out of a hat pretty damn quick.

Agreed. And one of the reasons why I figured the cup would be going to Florida.

Skinner wasn't the problem last night, or even in game one. He's been playing great. The rest of his team out in front of him needed to do better. It's not even so much that. The Panthers' defense is so good. They have a player practically stuck to every Oiler on the ice, and when they do finally shake them off long enough to take a clean shot then it has to get past Bobrovski and he's too good.

Too many Oilers are playing with injuries or getting injured and it's not looking good. Lopsided officiating is also on full display as you would expect in any cup final with a Canadian team.

Lopsided officiating?????..................in these playoffs the Oilers have been given the advantage in every round from what I see.
