Fact of the day:
- Stamkos is just the sixth player in NHL history to score 50 goals twice before his 23rd birthday. The others are Wayne Gretzky, Mike Bossy, Mario Lemieux, Joe Nieuwendyk and Alex Ovechkin.

Out of these 6 players 2 have never won the Stanley Cup, others have won 2 or more.

I would say its the management for not getting good players. Toronto needs to get a new goalie. Obviously it was not the coach because they are not doing any better then they were before.hockeyfan1970 wrote:Wow it's not looking very good Leafland Boston 8 Toronto 0. My hope is that ownership would get their heads out of the sand and provide the fans in Toronto with a contending team. Will that happen Hmmm........... past history (I doubt it, unfortunately)
Moving on Nashville has added to their line-up with return of Alexander Radulov from KHL, now will this help or will their be locker room issues. Since he did walk away from the team. :smt102

Anyway you look at it Toronto's season is done, best they can do now is 88 points and since Washington hold down 8th spot with 80 points & 9 games to play. Toronto book your "T" times in Florida.jaz301 wrote: I would say its the management for not getting good players. Toronto needs to get a new goalie. Re: NHL 2011--2012 Season
A little NHL trivia:
Post-season appearance streaks
Current Leader is Detroit they have been in post season every year since 1990-91 so if include this year that will 21 years.
The all time leader is Boston Bruins with 29 years, from 1967-68 to 1995-96.

With games remaining this is best each of the teams fighting for a Play-off's spot can do, I guess it will depend who has best schedule.
LA King is 100 points
SJS is 100 points
PHX is 99 points
Colorado is 96 points
Calgary is 95 points

Calgary is still in the hunt for a playoff spot, but they have some catching up to do. That is the same thing with Winnipeg in the East, but I think they might be done.

Calgary needs both LA & SJ to loss their next 2 games to give them a chance.jaz301 wrote:Calgary is still in the hunt for a playoff spot, but they have some catching up to do. That is the same thing with Winnipeg in the East, but I think they might be done.
Looking at Monday line-up
Calgary vs Dallas (Calgary can't afford to lose)
Vancouver vs LA (Calgary needs Vancouver to win)
Colorado vs SJ (this is a catch 22 for Calgary)
Winnipegs next 2 games will be rough, first up Ottawa than Rangers. Meanwhile Washington get the Wild than a catch 22 when they play Buffalo. I think your right jaz as much as I Would like to see Winnipeg in, I do not see much hope of that.

Re: NHL 2011--2012 Season
I would love to see Winnipeg in to, but they would need to win all there remaining games pretty much to make it. Its unfortunate because just a few weeks Winnipeg was top in their division then they started to drop.

Unfortunately yes, based on both Winnipeg & Washington remaining schedule I give advantage to Jets. But the issue is that game between Capital's & Sabre's.jaz301 wrote:I would love to see Winnipeg in to, but they would need to win all there remaining games pretty much to make it. And even more importantly, after more than 920 days:

Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, ...
Still in the race of beating all of Jack’s records. Too bad you had to step of the path and beat Jack at that record (had I been your caddie at the time I would have advised you to put your club back in the bag), but it’s obvious you still have a lot of support. Go Tiger, go !

To the 30% who still support Trump,

Trump family: $2.9 Billion in new wealth.
Your family: 2 dolls. Any questions?
