Re: NHL
So far there has only been 2 game 7s both in the first round, second round the other series are done in 6 games. Hopefully Vancouver can do the same tonight.
Then everyone can move onto Round 3.
I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests. btw my ignore list is completely empty, I don’t use it.

I’ve been an Edmonton fan for a long time, but if they win today I certainly hope it’s an honest win by the regular players and not because of their new team mates wearing black and white striped jerseys. It’s looking like the online officials are trying to strike it rich on Playnow sports.com

Officiating should never change the outcome of a game but there sure has been some poor and missed calls so far. Re: NHL
Dallas is waiting for either Vancouver or Edmonton.
The longer this series goes the more rested Dallas is and not as much rest for this winner. And less chance of a Canadian team in the finals.
Vancouver needs to end it tonight.

Re: NHL
Well that was a pretty sad performance tonight. Second period collapse and the way that period went indicated no chance of a comeback.
One of several observations of players over thinking.
There was a delayed penalty against the Oilers late in the 2nd. Goalie went off and a sixth skater came on. Canucks made ten (10) passes without a shot before an Oilers stick touched the puck.
And they continued downhill from there.
My comment from May 10th still stands.
End of the 3rd and what a pathetic performance by the Canucks.
Shots are 15-2.
Go home if you can't play a full game.

Re: NHL
So does Rick Tocchet continue with Arturs Silovs or does he go to Casey DeSmith, of course any word on Thatcher Demko current condition. I haven’t heard anything about Demko, impo I feel it’s too quiet about his status.
Of course both DeSmith and Demko would be going in rather cold, since they haven’t played in some time.

Nothing wrong with Arturs Silovs. It's those in front of him who are too inconsistent.
DeSmith was backup tonight.
Forget about Demko for this season.

Come Monday it’s has to be a full bench effort from everyone, or it’s off to the golf courses for everyone.Babba_not_Gump wrote: ↑May 18th, 2024, 10:06 pm Nothing wrong with Arturs Silovs. It's those in front of him who are too inconsistent.

Re: NHL
I'm afraid you could be right. They need to show up for the next game or their done.
They did do way better than expected this season, so we do have that.

Whomever wins Monday will have a huge challenge getting past the Dallas Stars.
Eastern Finals is tough call, I give Florida a small edge over NYR.

Nice to see Kevin Bieksa back. He was MIA for a couple of games. Definitely the best commentator.

Some bad news for the Canucks, Boeser is scratched for game 7.
