I know , RIGHT ?

If they paved the road , the traffic increase would be prohibitive AND where would all those people park ?
Never mind the increase in vehicle break ins .

Not like that's a problem already, huh ?
I payed attention in High school....But not to what they were trying to teach me..

I just read through this thread, wifi, pavement, all the :swear: signs and markers littering the trails
Stay home, you've done enough damage already.
I used to spend all off time up in that area, now, haven't been for years.
One used to be able to escape the people and the city folk and just enjoy
being out.
Now there is no peace or serenity.
All destroyed in the name of progress.

They broke it years ago when some tourists from half-way across the planet,
on a one time visit,
started complaining about local people and their motorcycles, buggies, etc.

Then local busy-bodies got on the government to change the laws to exclude segments of society so they
could keep it for themselves with no intent of sharing or offering viable options
for the displaced.

Ironic that so many of the hiking/mtn biking trails in that area (many others too) were created by dirt bike/buggy enthusiasts, yet once word got out how great it was up there the special interest groups got a foot hold (Friends Of The South Slopes) and proceeded to lobby parks boards to ban those very same users. Don't get me wrong, the KVR is great - it was just greater when there were way less people using it, and those that did enjoyed it for what it was - not complaining about what they thought it was lacking.
Forget Cialis, Viagra, or Levitra. When you need to get it up fast - reach for new and improved Westcorp. Proud official suppliers of Basran's *bleep*

Let’s have transit up there!

Access for everyone!

Sarcasm Off

I’ve been up there twice already this year. Both times with Swiss students. They loved it.

I’m going again on Wednesday with a group.

I been going up there most my life, for 35-40 years it was almost all motorized never with any problems. Only recently when they re decked the trestles, all things went to *bleep* with a wave of whining morons that think they have more rights to the kvr for some unknown reason?

The route was built for a train, also motorized. So it should remain for future generations to enjoy as they wish, be it on their dirtbikes and atvs, snowmobiles, trucks... Nobody motorized is crying like a baby about all the granola bar rappers peddlers leave laying around, or flat bicycle skinny tubes hanging on a tree limb like its some cool green trend I can only guess.

So next time move off the center of the road for the people that actually pay to be there, you might be surprised how friendly we can be :smt045
