I going to take a stab in the dark and say between $6,500 & $7,500.

You see in trying for $4000 or less the only problem is I don’t know what to take out or what to keep in

You will have to ask, what do I get for $4,000.GAMEMASTER wrote: You see in trying for $4000 or less the only problem is I don’t know what to take out or what to keep in
I have a feeling you may not like the answer.

Yeah, I don't think they'll even give you an empty shell for $4k. My guess for what's spec'd - $8900.

Even an older model tent trailer is $4,000 and up.
It’s ridiculous what rv’s are costing these days but camping is very popular right now. If you can wait a year or two for popularity to wane, there may be a sell off coming and prices will drop.

Re: What is the cheapest teardrop trailer you can get
Well, let's see what we can find for comparable's.
Here's a used 2018 teardrop trailer. This one looks larger than pictured and pretty fancy tho. Still nearly $40k used!
https://classifieds.castanet.net/detail ... 0/4427697/
Here's a 10yo home made trailer, very basic. sounds like what you're looking for. Asking $2700
https://classifieds.castanet.net/detail ... r/4423961/
Here's a 4yo (2017) used trailer. Very small. Aluminum exterior which will drive up cost a littler. Asking $15k
https://classifieds.castanet.net/detail ... r/4434173/
So yeah, even used there's no way you're picking up a teardrop trailer for $4k, and even then you'll have to consider "home made" or "bottom of the barrel" for that price. Looks like a brand new basic unit will cost you $20k by the time the dust settles.

Re: What is the cheapest teardrop trailer you can get
Hi everyone I just heard back from Baddog Industries ltd and I got some good news they are going to bulid me a very decent one for around $5000 the trailer would be around 11’ feet from ball to rear bumper 6’6” from outside of fender to outside of fender. That is the measurement on the 5x8 they build and the trailer I would still have to save up some money for about 13 to 14 months then I would be able to afford it

Wow. Good find at that price! There's a few pics on their site - would one of them look similar to the trailer you plan to buy?

Re: What is the cheapest teardrop trailer you can get
Don't buy a trailer this year if at all possible because there is simply nothing of any value on the market for a halfway decent price. I sold my 15 year old trailer two years ago for more than I paid for it 4 years earlier. Today it resold for double what I sold it for. In. Just. Two. Years.
I won't be buying a new trailer for a year or two, that is for sure.
