Hwy 33 - The Big White Death Race 2000

Post by Atomoa »

This thread is for traffic related incidents and discussion surrounding the stretch of highway between Big White and Kelowna.

http://www.castanet.net/edition/news-st ... htm#182644

I have made a point to avoid that stretch of highway whenever possible during the winter months. Big White patrons with beer breath and snow marks under their nose racing up and down the hill make for a very unsafe ride.

Post your horror stories here. Be safe.

I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests.

I was looking up there. Is it really that bad? Or just Dec-Feb/March?

The road was slippery. Would that be a surprise, in December at that elevation?

yes its that bad during ski season especially on weekends if you need to get to town on a weekend at the end of the day pack a lunch the line of traffic is long, and that section of highway can get really bad with dense fog as well when you add the sledders coming down on weekends as well it gets even better

Thanks for the intel. I don't need that type of entertainment.

Translated to better English:
"Based on the fact that it is nightmare traffic with both morning and evening commuters in and out of the Joe Rich area, I decided to not buy into the neighbourhood."

The post was clear first time.

Not sure why people need to fuss and nitpick like squabbly 12 year old girls.
