Sorry Mr. Z you won't get my vote, but Kevin might.
Sorry. I'm considering voting for Kevin myself and just wanted him to clarify his position. I won't be asking him any more questions.

John Z. you should vote for Kevin; it would be the smartest thing you would have accomplished in this campaign.

Re: Kevin Craig - Council Candidate
For the record, I'm always happy to answer questions about my positions on local issues. As a Councillor, I will work to maintain an open dialogue with the public, so I feel I should model this as a candidate.
Well, after 3 years of planning for it, almost 2 years of Council meetings, close to a dozen All Candidates events, thousands of conversations about our city's future, and the longest week I have ever endured, voting day is here.
I do not feel excited. I do not feel anxious. Instead, I am proud. This year's bumper crop of candidates boasts some of the most talented people Kelowna has to offer, and I will always be able to claim that I was part of it. Regardless of the outcome tomorrow, I will consider myself a winner. Attending Council's weekly meetings gave me an understanding of the issues that I would never have otherwise attained. Meeting the other candidates and swapping stories and ideas for Kelowna has been inspiring. Above all else, I am grateful for the opportunity to engage residents of this fine city and get them thinking about the community they call home. That is why I will look back with pride on what I have accomplished this campaign.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to ask me questions on here, by email, on the doorstep, or at the All Candidates Forums. Please, I implore, continue to play an active role in your municipal government once the votes are tallied and the new Council is in place. Your voice matters, so speak up.
I have done all I can to present my case for a seat on Kelowna City Council. Now it's over to you.
Regards,
Kevin Craig

Dudlee your comment about the rabbits on Enterprize is great! Just wish we could get some humour re. the present council's efforts to buy native land, slash through the lake, trespass through the north end residental area, destroy wet lands in order to establish a road no senior governments really approve of. For those in favour, how many are purchasing properties in anticipation of reaping in our tax dollars. The natives will sure have their hands out. I'm for using the Harvey ave elevated idea.

Kevin - you are a class act! Regardless of today's outcome I hope you will stay active in public life. Us old farts have screwed things up royally: hopefully people like you can save us from ourselves.
Hoping to see you on Council.

Re: Kevin Craig - Council Candidate
To the 4643 people who voted for me, I would like to extend a sincere and heartfelt thank you for your support. I am humbled to think that there are so many people who believed in me and felt I could contribute to the next City Council. The last time Kelowna had a municipal election, I wasn't old enough to vote. This time, I was 80 votes away. I am very encouraged and will certainly be back in the future.
I would like to wish the new Council the very best of luck over the next 3 years. I have had the pleasure of getting to know the 35 other candidates, and believe the 8 elected Councillors have certainly earned their seat. The first person to call me once the polls closed was Charlie Hodge, who is the very definition of a class act. If I had to get bumped out by someone, Charlie's a good guy to lose to.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the dialogue on here. I am still committed to improving communication between Council and residents and hope to work with the new Council to accomplish this. The main reason I ran is that I care deeply about this city. Kelowna has been extremely kind to me and I will continue to do everything in my power to give back to the community. As the song goes... "the best is yet to come..".
Take care,
Kevin Craig
