You are so out of touch you don't even know Marx's first name! You don't know the distinction between marxism and communism. You don't know how marxism relates to socialism. It is also unfortunate that you apparently don't know how little you know and make no effort to inform yourself, preferring to embarrass yourself in a forum with others who actually understand a little about political economy. Sometimes it is better to remain silent and be thought a fool rather than speak up and remove all doubt.Nicklan wrote:Marxist as in Caral Marx is Communisim, where the state owns everything and the person owns nothing. That is not Socialist as We Canadians are not Communists, Public Medical, Public Education, Public Transportation and Highways, Public Justice System these are scocialist as in Public. We beleve that we are each able to won any business or any home or anyfarm that you can fund this socialist also, and so is Putting Canada and Canadians First not last as Gordo and his Gang pride themselfs in doing. Look at Canadian National the only thing Canadian about it anymore is the name as they are now controlled by the Americans not Canada or Canadians even though it was Canada and Canadians that paid every cent to build it in the first place, the same with CP or what is left of CP as the railroad is all that is left of CP. :nyah:

What would make me deliriously happy is a recognition that the paths parties take lead in quite different directions, not all of which can be universally considered good government, even if each individually believes their path will lead to it.Pinkie wrote:All parties DO share a common goal of "good government", the fact that they define that term differently is what leads to most of the policy differences between them. But I truly believe that most, (unfortunately not all), politicians really do want what they believe is best for our country. So it is in that sense all politicians want the same thing, but if it makes you happier I'll substitute the word "similar" for the word "common".Homeownertoo wrote: Different parties define "good government" so differently that it becomes meaningless to talk of a common goal.

But I do claim to Know what I do, that is the Film Industry, Iron & Steel production and fabracation and anything related to those including carbon, stainless and nickel steels long and flat steel products of all types my whole life actully. Also Transportation these are my areas, I also studied Mine and Mechanical Engineering but am not an Engineer. Grew up working in our Famliy Paving and construction business and on the farm, I have had a number of companies, including manufacturing and construction companies, and have done a number of reorganization plans for protected companies I took over and many I failed to get as well. While I have had offerers of investments in many of my projects to date I have funded nearly all myself.

When the stock market is in a state of uncertainty, corporate bond financing is all there is. Although returns are fixed, bondholders get first take of assets should a company fail.

I worked in the Steel Industry in Hamilton. It is near death. Last I heard, even Dofasco was in trouble. And most of the rolled steel coils go to the auto industry, which has thousands of acres of unsold cars. It is likely that US steelmakers will protect their own facilities, so there is really no export market.
Our strengths are still in natural products. While wood pulp is in low demand, we have some advantage in production of pre-fab roof trusses. Those are easy to build and wrap and they ship in compact quarters. There remain foreign markets for those, because once they are set up an entire roof can be made ready for shingles in a single day. Materials for these are shipped daily from Interfor's Ridge Meadows sawmill, and shipped to local truss producers. Canada ships more than logs.
