Russian Ballet Star "falls from the fifth floor of a building" but Russia declares the anti-Russian invasion in Ukraine proclaimers death to be a "natural death." You can't make this up. Putin's fav way of dispensing with activists is "fall from windows" or buildings, no? And two days before complex surgery, I guess the regime decided to save the healthcare money.

Rest in Peace Vladimir Shklyarov. Anyone else speaking out or wants to has taken note.

“I am against the war in Ukraine! I am for the people, for a peaceful sky above our heads!” he was quoted as saying in a Facebook post by Alexei Ratmansky, a Russian-Ukrainian former ballet dancer.

Ratmansky, a former director of Moscow’s Bolshoi Ballet, had been collecting anti-war messages from other figures in the ballet world.

Why do some get 35 years but some get 95 years?

Arthur Frommer, guide book founder has died at 95.

Arthur Frommer, whose “Europe on 5 Dollars a Day” guidebooks revolutionized leisure travel by convincing average Americans to take budget vacations abroad, has died from complications of pneumonia, his daughter Pauline Frommer said Monday. He was 95.

“My father opened up the world to so many people,” she said. “He believed deeply that travel could be an enlightening activity and one that did not require a big budget.”

Alice Brock, muse to Arlo Guthrie's "Alice's Restaurant" has died at 83.

https://www.cnn.com/2024/11/23/us/alice ... index.html

Alice Brock, whose Massachusetts-based eatery helped inspire Arlo Guthrie’s deadpan Thanksgiving standard, “Alice’s Restaurant Massacree,” has died at age 83.

Her death, just a week before Thanksgiving, was announced Friday by Guthrie on the Facebook page of his own Rising Son Records. Guthrie wrote that she died in Provincetown, Massachusetts, her residence for some 40 years, and referred to her being in failing health. Other details were not immediately available.

“This coming Thanksgiving will be the first without her,” Guthrie wrote. “Alice and I spoke by phone a couple of weeks ago, and she sounded like her old self. We joked around and had a couple of good laughs even though we knew we’d never have another chance to talk together.”

Born Alice May Pelkey in New York City, Brock was a lifelong rebel who was a member of Students for a Democratic Society among other organizations. In the early 1960s, she dropped out of Sarah Lawrence College, moved to Greenwich Village and married Ray Brock, a woodworker who encouraged her to leave New York and resettle in Massachusetts.

I've heard of her. A very accomplished rider who put many men to shame.
I'm posting this from Traditional lands of the British Empire & the current Lands of The Dominion of Canada.
I also give thanks for this ethos richness bestowed on us via British Colonialism.

Two Rothchild's died this year. One is Lord Jacob Rothchild, banker, one of Britian's richest men.

Whereas Will Rothchild died in a house fire, or was he murdered and the fire used to try to cover up?

https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/world/re ... 93bb3&ei=8

Neighbours have told local media he was a member of the prominent Rothschild banking family – it’s believed to be Will Rothschild.

He was one of the Rothschilds who lived a rather isolated life in America, avoiding media attention.

One neighbour recalled he was a ‘huge dog lover’ and a ‘good guy’.
