Damn, this is the best time of the year for fresh veggies and fruit.
Just the other day the wife roasted red and yellow beets, patty pan squash, green onions, carrots and tomatoes, all together.
There could have been a couple of other items in there too.
But the most-looked-forward-to food of year is always that first tomato that you pick.
Ahhh, real flavour.

Tonight will be pork schnitzel with potato wedges and salad. Just got my grocery delivery from Save-On-Foods and bought 3 pork tenderloins they had on sale. Excellent looking pieces totalling 7.40 lbs. at $3.49/lb.

My youngest kiddo requested pumpkin soup from the pumpkins DH grew. I will take some to work and leave some for her.

Just cracked open the first blue hubbard squash from our garden. My wife roasted it and found it needed no sugar it was so sweet.
Looks like squash soup tonight.

Leftovers. Roast, backed potato, and whatever else is left.
