The last time I had egg McMuffins the half of the first one and all of the second one went in the garbage!

They were horrible. Not what I remember them being years ago.

This is dinner tonight. We call it Bill's Special. It's like a Shepards pie.

Over at a family members for dinner last night, and we shared and compared a couple of after dinner drinks.
We did keep the drinks to a minimum.

Cheese, crackers, sausage, fruit, raw veggies. That's our standard on NYE.

Ticks me off that Edam cheese (my favorite) is so hard to find here :-X

Recipe?

Leftover Chili for my at work dinner BUT then late tonight when I get home FONDUE! Our NYE tradition.
450-500gr Lean Gr Beef

1 Med onion chopped and sauted

3-50 cloves of garlic (up to you how many. lol)

Add whatever spices you like, we have a homemade beef mix we use.

The following was the original but you can change as per you personal taste

1 can mushrooms (or fresh)

1 can tomato soup (I now use a combination of sauce and paste) also add water to thin if using paste.

Frozen mixed Veggies in an amount to your preference. Can also use canned

Enough potatoes to cover the top. I chop up small pieces and fry first. Can be done with mashed or shredded or frozen hash browns if you prefer.

I do all that in a fry pan then into a casserole dish or cast iron pot.

Pot into oven at 350 for at least an hour if I'm doing longer I sometimes reduce that to 325.

Lots of shredded cheese of your choice on top for the last 15 min to melt. I used a shredded Tex-Mex on this one.
We like a Cheddar Mozza mix as well

I think that covers it. It's very versatile and you can do pretty much what you want with it. Add or subtract what you want.

I decided to make my last day of the year to be a lazy day, so Chinese take-out.

My order was chicken fried rice & curry chicken with vegetables (highly unlikely any Chinese takeout can screw this up).

I'm having Norwegian Christmas Eve supper again for New Year's:
my own lutefisk (traditional recipe), potatoes and peas.
Don't care for flatbrod so didn't make any of that.
Chill
