Last night was bbq'ed pork chops,(yup, it was cold!), roasted carrots and sweet potato blend, and salad. Been hooked on head lettuce lately, so crunchy, but probably not the best variety for nutrients.

LOL, most of us can't afford lettuce these days.

I think we will have Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs and noodles tonight.

I think Romaine is better, however, probably won't be able to afford either!

A head of Romaine is $4.99 at Superstore - they don't show the 3 or 6 count packs on their web site. A head of Romaine at Walmart is $4.47 but they also show a 3 count pack of Romaine hearts for $7.97.

Save-on-Foods shows a head of Romaine for $4.99 and a 3 count pack of Romaine hearts for $8.79

The hearty taste and crunch of romaine is best for different types of Caesar salads. If you’re a fan of wedge salads and wraps, iceberg may be the way to go. But for healthy salads, bowls and even taco night, pick up romaine.

Nutritional value between iceberg and romaine.

Double thick pork chop with a panko/parmesan crust, double baked potatoes, roasted brussels sprouts, and baby beets.

^^^That sounds so tasty and satisfying!

You're right about the wedge salad with iceberg. Back in September I was making wedge salads with chopped tomato, bacon and crumbled blue cheese, with blue cheese dressing. The keg has one like that on their menu.

Then you didn't cook them right. Blame the cook, not the vegetable.

There are some things that no matter how they are cooked still do not appeal to all people.

Brussels Sprouts do not taste good to me but my better half likes them. It has nothing to do with how they are cooked I just don't care for them.

On the flip side I like Escargot in garlic butter and she doesn't. I like Tomatoes, she doesn't, I like Mushrooms and she doesn't.

The list of personal preferences goes on and on.

True enough - list of veggies I like is shorter than the list of veggies I don't like.

Escargots? Never mind the oh là là fancy-smancy name, it's a damn snail and belongs in either a fish tank or garden.

Tomato - good. Bacon - good. Blue cheese in any shape or form - disgusting.

Lol..it's definitely an acquired taste. Brussels sprouts...buy them, do the bacon thing, really try to like them. The best ones i find are the frozen boxed green giant ones in a "butter" sauce
