54/40 Concert Fri, Sept 12.
Good concert at waterfront park. Sound was not quite right for first half of the concert, but improved for the second half. Interacted well with the crowd. The weather was great for it.
The crowd was well behaved....lots of kids present too, but at $10 ticket, it made that possible.
Don't quite know how many people were there, but over 1,000? Does anyone know?
Hey, also bought 50/50 tickets at the concert and they never announced the winning ticket #. Does anyone know where to find that out? Looked on the dragonboat website, but it just had the winning # for 2007. Thanks. Maybe Castanet could post the winning # somewhere....

Outdoor music is the best!
You could email [email protected] and suggest that they find out then run the winning number, but maybe the sponsors would contact winners via phone (assuming that when you bought the tickets you entered such information). You could maybe contact the sponsors and find out from them directly?

I echo yatisme's sentiments exactly. The sound was rather muddy for the first half, but improved. 54-40 is always good live, they are money in the bank in that regard. Did any other attendees notice quite a few drunks, or was I just a magnet for them? And I should point out that while I did end up interacting with a couple of inebriated yahoos, they weren't causing problems per se.
As for the 50/50, maybe it's not drawn until the end of the weekend? Just a guess.

When someone says they pay taxes, you know they're about to be an ******e.

The 50/50 tickets were just like "admit one" kind of tickets--no name or phone numbers taken, and the draw was Friday night, but just didn't hear it.
As for the drunks at the concert, there were some, like always, but it was manageable.
There was a big security and police presence. All in all, a great evening. Thanks 54/40 and
Lake City Casino. (the sponsor)

There were a lot of drunks. That is because of the beer garden, and all the encouragment to go there.
It was a good show. I've seen 54-40 many times. My tapes turned out great, and I filmed the whole thing as well.
