Where Can I Get a Good Quality Pastry Blender?

Post by Glacier »

Hello,

My wife is getting very frustrated trying to find a pastry knife/blender because all the ones she finds are crap. The current one has a plastic handle that detached from "knife" part (sorry, I don't know all the terms) and sliced her hand open. She also wants one with round knives. Doe anyone know where to buy a good one that will last?

Try The Pampered Chef online. You can find a local "consultant."

I like the quality of their products.

Have seen the one (rounded blades with a wood handle with thumb groove) she wants but can't remember which store. Will look while I'm out today and let you know.

There's a kitchen stuff store on the east side of 97 out towards Rutland where all the big-box stores, they're pretty well equipped, might be a good place to look. If you find a nice one let me know, I always seem to end up with one of the cheapo units too.

That would be "The Chef's Edge" I think, and they carry good quality items. It is just past Banks Rd in the Banks Rd centre.

That's worked out great for me!

They're pricey on some things, but Pampered Chef makes DAMN good products! Their garlic press if one of the best I've used. I love their stoneware. I could go on... :D

My wife did a show recently, I could find out who her consultant was?
So I love the Okanagan but it's a place best enjoyed from atop a very large pile of $100 bills. - Spocky

Thanks for suggestion! We have one or two of their products in our kitchen - great products.

You're welcome, recedingglacier.

Phoenix I love their garlic press! It makes using garlic so easy, and so naturally it goes in a lot of my cooking. Their flat stone is essential for making homemade pizza and yam fries! Mmmmmm... And I love that the clay they use in their stoneware is environmentally sustainable and safe. :9923:

Sears has a pastry blender with rounded blades and a stainless steel handle for $7.49.
