I ordered the same one for a Christmas gift. I hope it does not have the same problem.
I did order through Best Buy though so I can return it locally if needed.
It would still suck donkey balls though (to coin a phrase.)

Amazon pays for the return shipping. They emailed me a shipping label. New one has been shipped.

That was quick. Since you have prepaid waybills, you can call the courier and they'll pick up from your home - saves you a trip into town.

Well we are ready to try out the Insta Pot.
Did I see someone post a test here to make sure it works before trying to cook?

Bsuds wrote:First thing to do is the water test. Put 1 cup of water in the pot and set it to manual for 5 min then a quick release of the pressure.

That will let you know if it works properly.

We gave one to my Daughter last Christmas and she only started using it a few months ago. Well when they were here for Christmas dinner she was just gushing over how well it works.

I have a convert! lol

I did the Brussels sprouts in it and it was great for those. 3 min and they were perfect.

I also got an Instant pot Sous Vide for Christmas. Now I have a new toy to play with.

I gave one to my in-laws, my dad in law sounded so excited on the phone

The interesting part is that some of the cuts of meat that take up to 24 hours to cook you can freeze to reheat later with no ill effects. If done properly of course.

I watched a video. It’s cool but I don’t like the idea of cooking in plastic.

We have had a Vacuum sealer machine for many years and as far as I am aware the bags are safe.
We can keep stuff in the freezer way longer than with other methods.

I don't think cooking in them is going to be any different.
