Nope, done easy. You cut one end off and the corn “comes” right out clean as a whistle.

When dropping corn into boiling water, add a little sugar (never salt as it toughens the corn). Corn comes out better than ever. Can hardly wait until corn harvesting time.
Older cobs, uncooked or cooked, if you are unlucky enough to select them, just cut the corn off the cob with a very sharp knife, bag and seal, then freeze. Great addition to clam chowder or veggie soup for winter enjoyment.
