WWE Hall of Famer "Mean" Gene Okerlund has died at the age of 76.

Okerlund got his start in the Minneapolis-based American Wrestling Association in the early 1970s before joining WWE as an interviewer and announcer in 1984. He hosted several shows during his time with WWE, including "All-American Wrestling,"

Jesse Ventura is credited with coining Okerlund's "Mean" nickname.

I have often remarked on how cancer is taking men and women between the ages of 40 and 65 at a remarkable rate.

Here is another one, only he's more high profile than most might be. 58 is far too young in my books.

Neil Young's ex-wife Pegi Young died on January 1 at age 66. Surprisingly, after over 30 years married, Neil walked out in 2014. The two of them together weathered a lot of storms and raised a lot of money for disabilities through the Bridge School in Mountainview, California with their yearly concerts that attracted some of the best musicians.

RIP Pegi…….....hope you were there for her Neil.

I saw this comment on a video from Pegi's 2017 album:

"Cheating, lying and deceit. It’s never ok. I’ve loved Neil and his music for 40 plus years now, much of his music is the soundtrack of my life. But I lost so much respect for him when he cheated on Pegi. Maybe it’s not my business. Having just had the same *bleep* pulled on me, though, I have zero tolerance for what he did to her. I know exactly what she is going through and this song says it all. Sadly, in the end, Neil like so many other men is a coward and lacks the courage to face up to his age, thinking he has to have one more fling just to prove himself. Like me, though, I see pegi is coming out stronger than I bet she ever thought she could be. I bet no one ever f’s with her again."

So Neil Young runs around virtue signally about saving the earth, and then loses his virtues in the process. Sad really. And then to top it off she gets cancer through it all.

RIP, Pegi.

"Thirty-seven years! That's a freakin' miracle. And I just don't feel the urge to go try something new. And I happen to know that he's hanging out with somebody that's a purely poisonous predator now. And that's karma. He's gonna get hurt. But I understand why it happened. I'm just sad about it. I'm always sad when I see love get tossed in the gutter."

I hope I look as good at her age as she did in this photo.

Rest in Peace Carol Channing.
