My dad used to love "sweet breads" and blood pudding. Mom liked liver with onions and bacon.
I am glad that I never acquired their culinary taste buds or olfactory system.

I once roasted a whole suckling pig, it was great until......I seen an ex-uncle sitting on the back step, scooping out the skull and enjoying the contents.

Norma, I have a friend who swears that pineapple chunks and pork and beans are the bomb ( farts..lol) also my one friend likes to use mayo instead of butter when making grilled cheese...says it makes it nice and crispy, yet soft...whatever that means ??

Yep - use mayo instead of butter and you end up with a brown crust that is crispy but just as soft as if you used butter.

Friend in school used to bring sardine, peanut butter and onion sandwiches once a week - told him to let us know ahead of time so we could head to the restaurant.

These days, peanut butter is banned from schools.

So, I guess blue filet and sushi are off your list as well? Those are two of my favorites. You don't know what you are missing.

Ah, actually I can't handle any seafood at all. It all triggers a vomit-reaction. I'm not allergic or anything - just don't have a taste for it.

And after years of living with a husband who likes rare steaks, I have moved along the spectrum from well-done to medium.

And I used to eat steak with ketchup.

Well they are both fruits. Not something I might consider but maybe not too far out of line.

As to fish/sushi, no thanks. I like Fish and chips but anything that has a "fishy" flavor does not pass my lips.

My wife has pickle juice on her pasta. She saves the remaining juice from sweet mix dills in a squirt bottle (like a ketchup or mustard applicator bottle, except a white one)

I haven't tried it and likely never will.

I've heard of drinking dill pickle juice, but not the sweet mix. The dill pickle juice is supposed to be good if your electrolytes are low and I can attest that a mouthful usually cures hiccups.

Dad and his shadow (me) would drink dill pickle juice occasionally. Dad would grab a small glass of vinegar and crack an egg into the glass then down it in one gulp. Nope, nada, no way Jose.
