JayByrd wrote: Jul 18th, 2021, 8:34 am I recently came to the conclusion that some people like Starbucks just fine. Other people don't.

Lots of people like Tim Horton's, and lots of people don't.

Perhaps surprisingly, the only big chain coffee that no one seems to complain about is McDonald's.

I don't like coffee enough to harvest the beans with my own calloused, gnarled hands, and then grind them with a mortar and pestle.

I honestly can't tell the difference between Starbucks, McDonald's, Tim Horton's, or the canned grocery store coffee I make at home. Because of this, I can get a coffee from anywhere and enjoy it just fine. I think I might be doing it wrong though.
No, I think you're doing it right.

I rather like Starbucks, but it is an occasional treat when I'm out with friends (so, I haven't had one in about a year and a half!). Too expensive for everyday consumption.

While I do own a burr coffee grinder it is an antique, I've not cleaned it up to use properly and I find I'm okay with my little electric one. I don't grind daily, I fill up my little coffee container in one go, Usually, it lasts me a week or so (unless the inlaws visit).

My husband likes light roast, I prefer dark roast so we have a Keurig (such a blessing!). It is wonderful to be able to have your preferred coffee instead of fighting over what to buy or make. I buy him the big tin of the President's Choice coffee house (Tim's knockoff). He and my son usually go through about one of those a week and a half. I buy the Kicking Horse Grizzly blend.

I've heard from friends that McD's coffee has improved. Timmies I only ever liked their English Toffee and I can't have it now that I'm sugar-free.
I haven't failed until I quit.

Starbucks is one big giant rip off
Stale fry baked good that are not fresh

And now. I hadn’t been back in two years. And find out Starbucks doesn’t serve real cream any longer. The 18%. They only offer 10%.
And they can’t even give me a stir stick. They give me a plastic straw!??

Are they for real. Hahahahaha

Given the the fact that Bailey's contains alcohol, you shall be granted a "pass" - just barely though  [icon_lol2.gif]

When there are better additives, why use Baileys?

I have both but prefer Bailey's in my coffee.

Kahlua is your preference apparently so use it to your hearts content.

Haha. I don’t care about plastic straws
I’m saying they didn’t have stir sticks. And gave me a straw to stir with.
Maybe I’m being picky? Or should a coffee shop carry stir sticks?
