Gary Rossington, the last surviving founding member of Lynyrd Skynyrd, has died at the age of 71, it has been announced.

The guitarist died on Sunday, March 5 and a cause of death has not yet been revealed. He is survived by his wife Dale Krantz-Rossington, their two daughters, Mary and Annie, and their grandchildren.

He also did a stint under the name Rossington Collins Band up until Allen Collins went downhill after the love of his life died in childbirth.

Robert Blake, the controversial actor who won a Lead Actor Emmy for Baretta and starred in films including In Cold Blood and Lost Highway before a murder trial ended his career, died today of heart disease in Los Angeles. He was 89. His niece, Noreen Austin, confirmed the news.

Blake’s long career ranged from a childhood stint in “Our Gang” at age 5 through major films and television before he was acquitted of murder in the 2001 death of his wife, Bonny Lee Bakley.

Great musician..........probably most famous for "El Rayo-X" and the song "Mercury Blues". Long career playing with many other artists and one of the best, if not the best with the lap steel guitar.
