Yes, one of the last real “great” actors. He did it all, from Shakespeare to comedy. He loved his work and kept going until he couldn’t.

Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice, at which there is simply no way to become THAT ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.

Gerry, you will be missed dearly. 101 years old, but still too short a life for such a fine lady. The last of the true pioneers is gone but not forgotten.... https://www.wltribune.com/community/bcs ... 01-7395142

Some things about Donald that I wasn't aware of.
Born in Canada, I knew that.
Married three times, all to Canadian women.
Second wife was daughter of Tommy Douglas.
He had a lengthy affair with Jane Fonda supposedly between #2 and #3 wives. Hmm.
He was married to his third wife for fifty years, until his death.

Yes, to both of you. His reach was well beyond just himself and his career.

His charisma, talent, friendships and an exceptionally long time in front of cameras is remarkable.

Nowadays, these “stars” that people follow faithfully, I can honestly say I never heard tell of them before, until they appear out of nowhere on the pages of celebrity ‘news’.

Do they last longer than 7 days now as big-time celebrities?

Wow, she had a great run! Met her a few times, way back when. I'll look for her book.

Saw him in so many different things, he always brought the laughs.
Justin stopped paying people to post but Carney started.

He used old British currency though, that's why it's clearly a shilling

Those who were fans of remakes:
Hawaii Five-O
Magnum PI
MacGyver

Will probably recognize this person.

Apparently he was also in a scene on original Magnum PI (probably as kid).

Gordon:

With the cancelation of NCIS Hawaii and Magnum PI and Hawaii Five-0 series ending, currently no shows are being filmed in Hawaii. I ran into one of the actors from Magnum PI (Rick) in February in Oahu and he said it's just too expensive to do a show in Hawaii these days. Crew housing costs etc are just crazy. Better to just shoot in Canada now.

Anyone watching Shogun on Disney+? It took me a few episodes to finally recognize Uclulet...
Emperor Carney now has the official endorsement of Donald Trump. Let that sink in.

Canada is completely broken right now.

I watched the first season. Quite entertaining. I’ve not gone to the island much, I didn’t notice.
After scouting several filming locations across the world, Shōgun finally found its home in the picturesque landscapes of British Columbia, specifically Ucluelet and Port Moody.

Rick Cluff. I used to listen to him on the radio when I lived in Vancouver...

Sad news indeed. Cluff had the perfect radio voice.

I still miss Bob Sharple’s voice. Hope he had a long retirement phase of his life.
