A winner in every way? Carter was a great humanitarian, no denying, but the record clearly shows he was a lousy President. Politicians on both sides of the aisle, political commentators, and anyone who lived through the period have stated so since his loss in 1980. His landslide loss to Regan only bears this out. Carters saving grace is that he is no longer considered the worst President in modern history, Thanks to Joe.

Regardless of who "wins" an election, they always are up against a Silent Elite. Do you believe the extreme poor who voted for Trump ever thought their non-profit support would be slashed right out from under them?

For all those who are over 85 on this list, I am impressed that only six passed away in 2024, including of course Jimmy Carter at 100.

Telegraph Cove is a historic site on Northern Vancouver Island and last night the museum, full of history, artifacts, art and untold memories, burned to the ground. Oh the restaurant too. Sad day for BC, historians, tourists and those at Telegraph Cove.

Port McNeill Fire Rescue says the destruction is "a devastating loss to the North Island" and parts of the boardwalk have been lost.
Telegraph Cove, once the site of a salmon cannery, is a popular tourism destination, and a base for whale-watching and bear-watching tours, kayaking, fishing and camping.

Jocelyn Alice Wildenstein, aka Catwoman, died December 31 at the age of 84.
I won't include a picture of her as she's an example of out-of-control cosmetic surgery. It's a face that can't be unseen.
