All these threads about this 16 day event, what is done is done. Should have, would have, could have Blah........... blah.........blah . Those who are pi** off about this should have made your voice heard when bidding for these game took place. Once the games have been awarded, to late... so sad it's a done deal. So be quiet and enjoy the show.

That's a great point. They (we) should never have let it get this far - although in fairness many people are just starting to really clue in to what an expensive joke this will be on all of us, and how much and how long we will be paying for it.. In addition, more and more people have also had that much more time to start to recognize what a corrupt government we have running this province and only the most diehard of lapdogs have been able to continue fooling themselves.

Only 4 defensive posts out of 19 from Al on this thread so far. He's slipping a bit. Usually averages better than 25% of all posts.

The really sad part is that they will be over in 2 weeks. It is unbelievable by ANY measure all the constant hoopla for the past 2 years, all the money, all the BS over something that lasts only 2 weeks.

Sorry, I have opposed this from the very beginning. I don't intend to be quiet and enjoy the show. If that upsets you, you don't need to read the Olympic threads.

Over in two weeks ? But Cateyes you were the one telling us all the games were going to be cancelled. By the way how is that $ 90 Million payout coming along? Your batting average is not so good my friend. No gold medal for you.

careful grammafreddy, you don't want to be thrown in jail for opposing the games. this is a free democratic society (as long as you play by vanoc and bcliberal rules.....)

Just like this lady? Looks like she will have lots of time off to sit home and enjoy the games since that pesky liver transplant is on hold.

It's one thing to be firmly against the Olympics. It's another thing to be pro them being ruined. Shouldn't you be hoping the damages are minimized?

I think people are just fed up with the insanity of this huge waste of money.

But it is here now...may as well enjoy it for the time it is here. You paid for it (and will continue to).

I wish the Olympics to go off without a hitch-best ever.

Then on April 1st, we string up our federal conservatives, and provincial NDP and Liberals.

Unfortunately, before the games even start, there has been a fatality at the sliding center, a 21 year old Russian male, has succumbed to a very nasty crash, and completely unavoidable.
Many of the teams have raised their concerns of the speed and danger of the track.

Sad start to the 2010 Olympics

Except of course for the tens of thousands who come out to support and cheer on the games and the torch wherever it is go’s. But yes there are always some negative losers in life who will always whine and complain about most everything. Present company excluded of course.
