If Rogge could have gotten another cliche into his speech, I dunno where he could have gotten another one from..... He used all of them up!

I was lucky enough to be at the ceremonies last night. They were amazing. Definitely a highlight in my life.

Nope, I'm not going to say it.

we watched the ceremony last night and loved it! yes there were a few rough spots, like flying wheat boy and the opera singer with the wild hair. but we enjoyed most of it! i loved all the native stuff and so did most of the people i talked to.

Oh all mighty one. Help me predict my future. Tell me that I will be rich and famous.

That one is sadly easy as well. Sorry logical. You're not going to be rich and famous, and it only gets worse from there. I don't want you dwelling on that though. You enjoy your time of denial.

I loved opera singer. What a voice. Not to knock KD Lang, but the opera lady can sing 1000 times better.

k, my post was eaten.. so out for lunch and we are dissing the Ceremony, late comer arrives and says how fab it was.. and then an about face and everyone LOVED it except for the French and the dancing and the native stuff and the Orca and the crap lip synching. So Ms Lincoln, besides that how did you enjoy the play?

Go ahead and say it. It's not going to change my opinion of the ceremony.

LOL! I loved the whales, actually it was my favourite part - THAT could have lasted as least as long as Peter Pan and the wheat field, sans/without Peter Pan and the wheat field. I must agree, the lip syncing was really bad.

The athletes are what this is all about, and I cheered every country that came in!

Watched Opera lady on the replay today and it was even worse than I remember it. Her hair must of had about 10 cans of hair spray on it and when she nodded her head forward it was like a big clump of it was about to fall off or something. wft was that all about? I'm pretty sure she was lip syncing too which seems totally bizzarre to lip sync opera but it sure looked like it. Either that or the audio was out of sync.

Also watched the Adams/Furtado thing as I missed it the first time. Yikes. They should both be hanging their heads in shame. It was embarassing!

On the other hand I also watched the Kd lang performance a couple more times. That was real nice. Paid more attention to the projections which were well done. The wales seeming to be swimming on the floor were very impressive.
