The clear winners in ridiculous costumes

Post by Bejvas »

The article on yahoo.ca says that the Ukraine couple Tatiana Volosozhar and Stanislav Morozov were the winners of ridiculous costumes... Do you really think so? I like their costumes. What's with people and their harsh criticism. P.S.: and I actually don't care for the Olympics itself...

Yeah, I think the costume is awesome, the criticism might come from people who are afraid to show off hehehehe

I was actually embarrassed of the Canadian commentators for the short program. One thing to make a comment about the costume, but quite another for him to go on and on and laugh about it.

I thought he was very rude, unprofessional and catty - not what I would have expected at all but then again, I think the world of figure skating has made a name for itself.

I hope they reign him in a bit for the rest of the skating programs and that he makes an effort to be less arrogant.

I thought the #2 in standings couple with the clown outfits was more ridiculous. Not really though. Just a bit untraditional like this couple which always seems to stir up the figure skating snobs.

I commented to hubby last night how much I liked their costumes as well. I thought it was a nice change. In any case they are certainly more tasteful than many of the women's outfits which are often barely held together by flesh coloured stocking material. I often spend more time wondering how they manage to stay covered while skating, than actually watching the skating.

I think the commentators may be spending too much time watching shows like Dancing With the Stars, whose mission it seems to be to dress the females in as little material as possible.

As for the clowns, hands down ugliest costumes IMO.

Watching pairs free program right now and can't help but notice all the empty seats. Probably about 1/4 of the visible seats are empty. Whole rows and even whole sections. We are talking prime seating. Those tickets are selling for huge coin so you would think this is typical Olympic BS where they reserve seats for a bunch of fat cats who have no intention of attending. I know some are reserved for athletes and that's fine but they should have some way to free up those seats if people know they are not attending.

tsk tsk!!! actually what bothers me most is that if the men fall they have at least pants between them and the ice...i cringe when a female falls, i can just imagine how that must feel. ouch.

They bring back memories of a clown costume I wore on Halloween as a kid.

Only leading by 1 in the 10th. Not where I thought Martin would be.
