Vancouver gets a GOLD.......for public intoxication
As I wipe a tear of 'pride' from my eyes.

Vancouver drinks Athens, Torino and Beijing under the table.
When I asked a reveler if there was too much public intoxication in Vancouver, he responded, "There should be more." A roofer by day, he told me he had just consumed 8 to 10 beers — and he looked like it. "The police are too strict," he said. "One of them poured out my beer — and I wasn't even drunk yet." At 2 a.m.,

Hey, we can use another gold.
Sarcasm is like a good game of chess. Most people don't know how to play chess.

I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests.

How many russians won Ice Dancing or Curling in 76. None because they didn't have BS 'sports' like that back then.
So enjoy your trucker math that makes some people think that because this number is bigger than another number from 34 years ago it is somehow better.

ha ha - I really really want you to come down to the Curling Rink tonight and tell everyone there how our sport is a "BS" sport - that would be fantastic. Then if you survive that - which I doubt - go to the next ice dancing event and say the same thing in front of 6,000 female ice dancing fans - they'll tear you to little tiny shreds.

Here is some basic math for all you "14 gold is the best" people.
1976 Total medals awarded = 111 (37 Gold)
2010 Total medals awarded = 258 (86 Gold)

Cateyes - maybe you should read a bit before you post things, that might make you avoid some of the giant egg you consistently wind up with on your face.
Now you said:
How many russians won Ice Dancing or Curling in 76. None because they didn't have BS 'sports' like that back then.
Trivia Question 1: Was Ice Dancing in existence in 1976?
Answer: YES!!!
Who won the gold in 1976?
Answer: The winners were: Irina Rodnina / Alexander Zaitsev and they were from - ta dah!!!! The Soviet Union!!! Amazing!! And here we had Cateyes saying that the USSR didn't compete in these BS sports. Wow - just think - Cateyes was dead wrong - how is that even possible???

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Figure_ska ... r_Olympics
Ice Dancing made it's debut in 1976, and the Russians won the gold. So - take away that "BS" medal the Russians won in 1976, and take away the "BS" medal that Canada's second sweetheart Tessa Virtue (Joannie is number one by a mile) and Scott Moir won - fine - that still leaves:
RUSSIA 12
CANADA 13

Aren't you tired yet of being made to look like a giant idiot?
As I have already said - if you insist on calling curling a BS sport - please please come down to the rink and see how long you last before a broom gets shoved somewhere you won't like. That would be a pleasant sight to behold.
