Zimmerman to run for council

I disagree with your contention that my post was 'off-topic', grammafreddy. I brought Mr. Gray and Ms. Shepherd into the mix as each follow very different agendas for civic development and growth (nor 'non-growth', as the case may be). Zimmermann is widely believed to be, unofficially, running as one of the candidates that share a particular view that is shared by Mr. Gray. While he may not be part of any official 'slate', and neither Mr. Gray nor anyone else for that matter are part of any official 'slate', the fact of the matter is he is from end of the civic political spectrum.

I am actually quite disturbed that you would possess such a narrow-minded definition of what is 'on-topic'. Anything pertaining to people running for Mayor or Council could be considered 'on-topic' in a thread titled 'Zimmerman to run for council'. I'm glad you're not a moderator of these boards! :)

West Kelowna is a so-called 'bedroom municipality' of Kelowna which really should've been part of Kelowna in the first place. Its politics are mostly boring and uninteresting so why not take a serious interest in Kelowna, which really is where the growth will be going forward.

Are you running in the DWK elections? If you want change to happen there to make it less boring and to achieve satisfaction on your gripe that DWK should have been part of Kelowna in the first place, there's where you need to be making waves.

As for me being a mod here, you're not the only one who's happy I am not - including me!

Grey and Shepherd are running for mayor - Zimmerman for councillor. They don't equate. If Zimmerman and Grey are buddies, Zimmerman will not get my vote. I also don't believe in "stacking the deck" which is what Grey is doing.
