Won't be a problem if you build the right structure. And you don't think Wile is after your lap dog, cat or bunnies? They'll go where they find the easiest meal, and chickens in a proper coup will be a tough snag, they'll move on to little Fluffy.

Why does a chicken coop have 2 doors?????

Cuz if it had 4 doors it would be a chicken sedan!!!!!!!!!

And that's about all the time I need to waste on this issue.

my loser neighbours can't be bothered to even mow their lawn, yet I know that this stupid chicken idea would be something they would go for in a heartbeat. There is no way they would build "the right structure" - and probably wouldn't build any structure. Within a few days, those chickens would be all over my back yard. And then the coyotes would come, and they'd be dead. Assuming that the average joe is going to build "the right structure" is just plain wrong - it ain't going to happen for a a lot of the people in this town.

wouldn't these animals be protected in your house? While a chicken is outside? Kind of blows the argument. I don't know what people do with their bunnies - I guess they'd be a comparable with a chicken, though they are way cuter.

I read the responses of the councillors and the wannabe councillors, and LOL'd at the politically correct term "urban hen" used by two of them, hilarious. The best answer was this guy:

*Gerry Zimmermann - "Chickens belong on farms in rural areas and not in urban backyards. Take care. Gerry"

Concise - to the point - and totally right. I hope Gerry gets elected as a councillor, and hopefully it's at the expense of an "urban hen" councillor. Go Gerry go!!

I notice there's a lot of use of the words "I don't support", "I don't think", or "I do not agree" in those responses. How many of the local politicians have actually suggested querying the public (you know, those they serve???) and actually ask if it's something that is or is not wanted by the local population?
I'd like to change your mind, but I don't have a fresh diaper.

Not many.

I am using it (personally) as a gauge to see which candidates are "people friendly" as opposed to "to hell with what the people want - this is what I want (or don't want)".

If I am elected I will attempt to lure Fenton Harbor (alias Chicken Man) out of retirement so he can fight crime (on weekends only) in our wonderful city.

Bad news...Just got off the phone with Fenton. Apparently he got a job delivering newspapers on the weekends now so he's N/A for crime fighting. Anyone know what Mermaid man is doing?
