If one thing's certain about Aussies on vacation, it's that they definitely aren't interested in dicussing politics - especially that of another country. It's all but certain that those Aussies were just saying whatever they had to in order to escape the desperate ramblings of dumb right wing Canadians. No doubt Aussies would make many a joke about loser right wingers who fly half way around the world for a vacation and still can't shut up about Trudeau.

With all due respect, I think you’re missing my point. The event wasn’t supposed to be political in the first place, and the float was entered as a tractor without mention of the political purpose; hence why the organizers apologized and said the float was entered under false pretences.

I know what you mean. I was on a cruise ship awhile ago and some conservative nutbag at one dinner kept telling me all Canadians should carry guns for safety.
