First thing it says, is that it is not being mandated, but encouraged. As per the ministers own words. A far cry from "hell no"

Right now, there are no vaccines approved by Health Canada for use in those between the ages of 5 and 12. There are no vaccines for under 5 as well.

However, as we speak, global studies are underway looking into whether we can offer vaccines to those under 12 as well.

Our goal is to provide protection to as many Albertans as possible, as safely as possible.

We will not offer vaccines to younger people until the studies on vaccines in younger age groups are completed and evaluated.

Recently in the news:

James Law, another parent, said he would also like his kids to be vaccinated.

"It would just make me more relieved," he said.

A spokesperson for Alberta Health said planning is underway to offer vaccines to more Albertans quickly, with the timeline depending on Health Canada approval.

"We are making plans to be ready and we will fund those plans to be ready to do the rollout as quickly as possible," Health Minister Jason Copping said Wednesday in question period.
