Discuss the upcoming provincial election. Keep it civil in here, people. It's not the Political Arena.

Not so clear for Clark, who doesn't even know how to cast a vote properly.

Having trailed in the polls for the entire campaign and faced repeated speculation over her future, embattled B.C. Premier Christy Clark needs every single vote she can get in the upcoming provincial election.

But the one vote Ms. Clark would have thought she could count on might not count at all after the B.C. Premier appeared to spoil her own ballot paper in a mix-up over her own riding and the local candidate.

Casting an advance ballot in her hometown of Burnaby in front of a throng of media and campaign staff on Wednesday, a confused Ms. Clark writes her own name on her ballot paper. But Ms. Clark doesn’t live in her own riding, a detail which would have rendered her vote invalid.

Quickly realizing the error, Ms. Clark asks for her ballot back. CBC footage shows Ms. Clark then writing down the name of Vancouver–Fairview Liberal candidate Margaret MacDiarmid, but failing to cross out her own name before submitting her ballot paper, leading to further confusion over the legitimacy of her vote.

The mix-up immediately generated a furor on Twitter as to whether Ms. Clark’s ballot should actually be discarded.

Could be very ironic if she loses by one vote.
Why would she not vote in her own riding?
