No not admitted , in icu taking up at the least one icu nurse per patient. which leads to people with cancer and other life threatening ailments because the unvaxxed take up the most beds in a icu . almost 80 percent taking up icu staff is unvaxxed. Anyways i will stick to the real numbers. so long. :130:
One nurse per patient?! Wow, have you missed the mark on that one. What does this one nurse do? Sit in a chair beside them.
Obviously you have never had a family member in ICU, SICU,CICU, CSICU or any other Intensive Care Ward. Most ICUs assign one nurse per patient. Depending on the situation and conditon of the patients, one nurse may be assigned to two patients.

You sure did.

What I said about vaccines having side effects present within 4 to 6 weeks or not at all isn't me having faith in anything. It's simply the the science and facts of vaccines... facts that have been researched and proven countless times over the last several decades.

So yeah... you said science is faith. As much as you like to say you don't have an agenda at play, it's clear as day that you do... no matter how many times you say it, it just isn't true. But keep trying to convince yourself you don't.
Look again. I said you are pushing your faith that what we are being told by the scientists, and those explaining the science to us, is entirely true and completely accurate.

That's the problem, as I see it: Regardless of your own expertise in this particular field of science, you choose to believe what you're being told about it IS the accurate science - you have faith in what you're being told - and so you naturally expect everyone else to believe the same.

"Othering" those who don't share our faith that what we are being told is entirely true and completely accurate isn't helpful. It's just "more of same" to those who don't share this faith - the hubris of those who are absolutely certain they are right about something they don't personally understand is seldom helpful in convincing those who see things differently.

Calling decades of research, study, and real-world global experience with hundreds of vaccines to being nothing but me having faith is absolutely ludicrous and is anything but accurate.

Again, you're not looking to have an honest discussion when you discount over a century of science so easily. This is one of the key reasons for the division in society that you so loudly have railed against. Furthering the notion that centuries of science means next to nothing and comes down to nothing more than "having faith" is why the division exists.

I get it... you have an agenda and science gets in the way of it. Cool beans.

Ummmm.....you don't know how ICU work hey? It's generally one on one (with exception). That's why the patients are in ICU because they require constant care.
Normally ICU nurses provide one-to-one care with some exceptions, but now they're taking up to three patients at the Health Sciences Centre, St. Boniface Hospital and the Grace Hospital, although health officials say the sickest patients will still be assigned their own nurse.

"Covering three to one is ridiculous," said Dr. Anand Kumar, a Winnipeg intensive care physician and infectious disease specialist who does not believe hospitals will start rationing ICU care based on a triage protocol.

Number of nurses per patient varies. I've had a family member in ICU when at times they needed three nurses at once. Sometimes it's only one nurse per patient.

I've not said anything at all about a century of science.

You obviously have faith that you - and the many people who are in agreement with the way we think on this issue - DO understand how that century of science applies to this particular vaccine. So you're quite comfortable "othering" the people who don't share your faith that we understand how that century of science applies to this particular vaccine.

I, too, believe that I understand how a century of science applies to this vaccine. However, since I have no expertise in this field, I am NOT comfortable with expecting other people to make the same assumptions I do, and I am NOT comfortable "othering" those who can easily point out that I don't have the expertise in this field to be certain I'm right and they're wrong.

And at the end of the day, knowing we all need to work together on rebuilding this country, I can't see what you hope to gain by "othering" those who don't think the way we expect them to.

For those who just don't like what the science is showing, it's just another diversion to equate (actually over-rate)their faith in Youtube video chats, with months and years of studies, careful data collection, and multiple studies. Research scientists have to back up and defend their theories with real world data, the Youtube faithful only have to find someone, somewhere who posted or video taped a thought with no evidence, or even sometimes conflicting evidence, they will still claim it supports their position.
They follow that up, with sweeping denials that science actually demonstrates anything, and claims that all the data must be lies. There's no rationale, or rational thinking involved.

Have I railed loudly? I'll try to quiet my voice a little.

Again, in this addendum to your earlier post, you have chosen to reframe what I've said.

Not once have I implied centuries of science should mean next to nothing. You seem to me to have conflated what I've said about our faith in our own ability to understand science, with our faith in science itself.

I'm not sure what you think my agenda is, although I tend to think your inference that I have an agenda I shouldn't have is simply habitual "othering".

From the beginning of this pandemic, I've been saying the social outcomes of how we're treating each other are likely to be worse than the virus.

It's not faith rustled. I know that word helps to further your agenda, but calling it that discounts and calls into question the knowledge and science of vaccines that stretches back over a century... and you know it.

Again, you say you want to work together, but saying that 100 years of science comes down to one having faith is the crux of the problem. This is exactly the agenda that's tearing us apart... so keep up the good work.

Good news also from the UK....they were already ahead of Canada.....BC and QB even mentioned within first 4 minutes!!

My prediction of early March for the endemic process to begin along with all mandates and restrictions being rescinded may be even sooner!!

Covid cases in B.c. may have peaked, hospitalizations peak could still follow.
This certainly seems like hopeful news for the near future.
About 70% in ICU are unvaccinated, once they clear out, numbers should look a lot better.
Periodic update will be available on breakdown of Covid-related hospitalizations.

I would agree if omicron was the last mutant but if you do a search they tracking more than a few and who knows, one could be worse. So i think it pays to play it safe when it comes to going back to a normal we all know is never really coming back.
I wish people understood that COVID becoming endemic would mean that we had to think about it all the time, not that we never had to think about it again

Apparently none of the patents has to do with inventing the vaccines. Not sure who the corrupt people you're talking about are but the ones being credited with the vaccines are well respected in their field.
Decades of research on messenger RNA by Karikó and Weissman laid the foundation for the creation of incredibly effective COVID-19 vaccines that are helping to turn the tide of the pandemic.

You do have faith you understand how the knowledge and science of vaccines that stretches back over a century relates to this particular vaccine, do you not? If you prefer to call it something else - confidence? certainty? assuredness? - let me know.

And you do have faith (or whatever term you prefer) that those you're arguing with here simply don't understand this relationship as well as you do - or am I wrong about that?

Here is the data from today i believe that shows two kids sadly under age 5 passed away. So yes kids can get covid and not live with it or past it.
Don't listen to me, i am not a virus doctor or researcher, if the facts as presented by the people who made a living studying virus don't sway you then who can really?
