Both my boys were C-sections. The first was an emergency and the second was by choice. They would have let me go into labour with the second but would have had to have a section anyway because of how my pelvic bones are shaped. We just picked a day about a week before he was born. I'm built like the "broad side of the barn" go figure. The most important thing was that my boys were both born healthy. I was able to nurse just fine. It is not "the end of the world" to have a C-section. I was just greatful for the technology that could make a difference in having a healthy baby. If you end up with a scar because of having a baby, just count it as a medal of honour! You earned it! Feel free to PM me if you would like! You just have to remember to really take it easy afterwards, no vacuuming or heavy lifting and don't over do it (even though you will start to feel better) for at least six weeks after surgery! Hugs to you kiddo!

I was induced 5 days before my scheduled induction due to preeclampsia. I was full term with twins, so it didnt make a difference...I was 2cm dilated and 95% effaced..told it would take 5 hrs max. It took 18 hrs
I was induced with an IV of Oxytocin.
I was given an epidural because of my high blood pressure, but the drugs did not kick in, I had my epidural taken out and re-inserted 3 times, the last time was 8cm into my spine but I guess I had what is called an 'adverse' effect to the epidural and I was never numbed so I did it drug free I suppose (although not by choice)
I was only actually in the OR (MY delivery room because of the possibility of emerg csection with twins) for 30 mins tops..15 of which were just laying there watching the nurses prepare everything..15 mins, or less of actual pushing and my son was born first, healthy..8 minutes later my daughter was born, healthy. Both vaginally birthed babies
I found the contractions to be extremely painful...I dont recall too much of how painful the actual 'giving birth' was..lots of adrenaline and it was rather quick but I'm sure it hurt like hell lol..
Good luck and congrats!!

Congrats on pushing out twins!! That's amazing. So many moms to be of twins elect for the section right away for no reason other than because there's two babies in there. Of course one baby is going to be breach for a bit, but 90% of breach twin babies will turn when the first one pops out.
Congrats again,

Mark was 7pounds, 12 ounces, Kate was 6-4 and both were easy and natural. Labour for Mark was 4 hours, Kate was 2 hours.
Then there was Cole.
6 hours of labour that came and went. The doc on call in the small town was an OB-GYN out of London. Snowstorm blowing and the exam showed a Frank breech. A transfer to London was out. Apparently this is the only breech that can be delivered naturally. So they induced my wife and Cole came out butt first, ankles to the ears. Sounded like a champagne cork! Poor Judy, poor Cole. His little butt was bruised something awful, and he had to spend a lot of time under the UV lights to get rid of the jaundice!
