dental questions...
If you have a medical emergency, you go to the hospital, even if you have no money...
What do you do when you have a tooth emergency and no money? Anybody have an answer? My friend is in dire need, and low on cash.

Smoke a joint, drink, *edited*/ferri or just get a job. Personally I would just call a dentist and see if you can get on a payment plan.
You can't fix stupid........BUT you can dress them up and over pay them to teach your kids!

thanks for the ever impressive smart *bleep* comment. She doesn't do drugs, seldomly drinks, and is a mom of 4 whose lovely *bleep* of a husband just left her for an older woman. Nice hey?
Back to the task at hand though, is there no way to go to the hospital (her tooth is totally infected-is on antibiotics) and they can just pull it out? No??

no, they can't pull an infected tooth. she should go to a walk in and get some pain killer of some kind though.

I'ev been calling around and some dentists office said there's some kind of dental college where they pull teeth and do other work for dirt cheap? It's through a church or something, (this person had no clue) and now I don't know what it is, lol

If she cannot get in to that clinic right away, she should still seek treatment. Any Dentist will provide simple emergency treatment.
They will do a quick assessment and may just write a prescription to look after the immediate issue, the infection. They may also do an emergency "open and drain". That is they would open up the infected tooth and release the pressure caused by the infection. This is not a cure, it will get the patient out of pain.
There will be follow-up treatment required. This could be repair of the tooth, or removal. The emergency treatment is intended to "buy the patient some time".

Good to hear Tawny, that you can get help for your friend.
I was in a similar position at a point in my life where I needed wisdom teeth removed, and didn't have the coverage, or money upfront to pay for it, and it had to be done.
Dentist referred me to an oral surgeon who allowed me to make a couple payments to pay for it. The subsequent 'credit' allowed me to work out a deal with a neighbouring (not sure of the title, escapes me at the moment- orthodontist?), that allowed me to pay for my braces over 12 months as well.

Don't get so mad, it's just my opinion.
