Hay fever season hits West Coast early

Allergy sufferers on the West Coast are already hacking and sneezing through one of the worst — and earliest — hay fever seasons in years...the onset of intense symptoms in mid-January.

Dr. Ross Chang, an allergy speciaist: The pollen count is five times the level it was at this time last year, he said. .... number of people suffering from allergies and asthma is also on the increase.

"We think perhaps it's part of climate change
perhaps more pollution in the air,
[perhaps] more additives in our food,
perhaps more chemical exposure."

so is it hay fever, or not?

Good question Eyepop.....this subject intrigues me. Why do so many more people, and especially children, suffer from hayfever and asthma than they used to??

I know my husband never had allergies/hayfever until he got really ill about two hours after getting off a flight from Los Angeles. He was hospitalized and very ill for about 6 weeks. Ever since then he's had terrible allergies.....but why?? What caused him to be so ill in the first place?? Doctors never knew.
Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one.
