From what I understand, Nintendo decides when the are to be released. Zellers had them in a flyer just before xmas and did not get any, I checked every week and finally got mine at the end of January.

Well, last week I rented We Cheer. It is a very cartoonish cheerleading game.
I would say, based on the delivery, it is geared to the tween market. That said, it is quite fun.
You are given cheerleading routines to follow and receive points for getting it right.
I only did the beginner ones, but it did give you a bit of a workout. If you can handle the Bratz type characters and the Valley Girl type language, it is actually not bad.

This week I am trying the Gold's Gym Cardio Workout. It is pretty much a boxing game with a few exercises thrown in . You need to go through the basic instruction program before you can open up the rest of the game. Not a bad idea, but a little frustrating if you just want to have a look at what it has to offer. I will report more later.

Yes and no... You need to 'hack' the wii and install usbloader 1.5 (pretty sure thats the latest). You also need an SD card or usb hard drive (I like the usb hard drive).

oh...hmmm.. does hacking it open it up to any potential viruses or software problems?

I would think you would have to be very careful about what you download. How do you know you are on a reputable site?

If you download from sites that are not reputable then yes there is the potential as with any computer system. wiibrew is pretty safe but they dont offer the backup/restore tools. Just fun stuff like doom and other rad games for the wii.

The backup and restore stuff has to be obtained from less than legitimate sites because it can also be used for piracy (obviously) and there are legal concerns with that.

As an aside doom/quake for the wii are potentially the greatest things ever.

Well the Wii had its E3 conference today. There was other games I am sure but the only game I cared about was the new zelda which is titled The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Not sure about the rest of you, but I have always been a huge fan of zelda. I found a few vids about the game. It looks pretty awesome. The sucky thing is its not being released till 2011.

Here is the trailer.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dYgrMz_XBI. Here is the E3 conference http://www.youtube.com/user/narutozelda732. And here is a guy with some thoughts on the game.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNNFdW7MxlU

Did you watch the demos though?? It's not accurate looking at all!!! I mean we will still buy it and play it, but I wish they did a better job. I mean maybe I shouldn't say that until I actually play it. Maybe there was lag during the demo. I guess I'll find out next year!

I am sure there will be not lag when the game is released. And if it was lag they will fix it before its released. They are really keeping stuff top secret. Would of liked 2 know what the story line is, but they might change that yet. All in all it looks like it is going 2 be a great game.

I'm not that excited, I think it's going to be a typical Wii game, yes it uses the motion plus controllers but I didn't find much of a difference using those. What I am looking for is fluid motions and my character doing what I am doing. I have a feeling it's going to be whip it around like mad to get the results you want, not the sword play I am hoping for.

But who knows, hopefully I'm wrong.
