Lisa Ray cancer free
Toronto: Indo-Canadian filmstar Lisa Ray informed the media she is now cancer-free and would get back to her acting career.
Speaking in Los Angeles where she was to attend the Indian Film Festival, which had her movie, Cooking with Stella, as one of the entries, the Torono-based actor said she would divide her time between Toronto and Mumbai. Sporting a new look with short hair, the actor said she feels "reborn". She underwent stem cell transplant for multiple myeloma, a type of cancer where the white blood cells attacks and destroys hone.
She is also trying a new career - writing. Details of her book deal has not been disclosed. "Writing is a renewed passion that I have re-discovered. It is a beautiful way of processing what I have been going through," she said on her blog.
Lisa will also help in raising awareness of multiple myeloma. Proceeds from her film, Cooking with Stella, went to the Los Angeles-based Institute for Myeloma and Bone Cancer Research

there is currently no cure for MM, in time hopefully it will be a disease that can be managed rather than terminal.

well acording to lisa shes cured
