Boot Hill Fire

Another one near Penticton.

Near Penticton–Another large fire has broken out in the South Okanagan, this latest one in the same area as the Apex Mountain fire.

The Boot Hill fire was spotted Wednesday and is burning aggressively.

It’s spread to 100 hectares, and is exhibiting extreme fire behaviour; rated at the highest burning level, a Rank 6.

All ground crews have been pulled off the fire.

Air support on the fire is continuing as resources allow.

No structures are immediately threatened.

Good grief, I've never heard of so many forest fires lit up so close together time wise and distance wise. It's quite disturbing really as if there's something more mischievous is at work. Those poor crews can't get a break!
It's definitely really smoky around Westbank now.
