If you find it in the area, good luck using it.

why would you bother??? http://www.forbes.com/sites/jamesconca/ ... 7cc85d2ca2
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

It's pretty much race gas at the pump. For higher power turbo applications its a miracle fuel.
As for the environment you can argue ether way.

Re: E85 fuel in Kelowna?
just asking a simple question, was not too sure if this city had E85 ... im looking to build a new setup and was wondering if it should be set up for E85 or race gas. Uses different size injectors and pump because it burns about 30% more.

Re: E85 fuel in Kelowna?
As you've found - No local source.
From what I've seen - E85 expansion of use has pretty much halted. It's popularity and availability was growing rapidly for a few years, but that expansion pretty much halted once the general public saw through the smokescreen of the "More environmentally friendly fuel".
Makes me wonder if someone could make a few bucks transporting E85 to Thunder mountain every 2nd weekend. It's really only the racers who want it anyway and you could likely sell if cheaper than race gas and still make a hefty profit.

Alcohol (ethanol) is a really good fuel.
Corn is a pee poor source for making it.
The oil companies spent a lot of money trying to convince you that it is a poor fuel, many of you fell for their propaganda.

pump the movie has a interesting view on E85. They say the corn they use is not for human consumption and they dried out mash is used for live stock feed. The co2 from the processing is collected and sold as well.

Re: E85 fuel in Kelowna?
E85. was a hell of a lot cheaper than gasoline when gas was high. It is mainly sold in the Midwestern US. You do loose mileage when you use it.
Your engine must be built for it or you will damage it.
My car is dual fuel but I have always used gasoline.
