Yeah !!! I know..... $1800 for a top of the line model, it would pay for it's self in 7 hours. I wonder what the demand would be for this service.Temet Nosce wrote:Holy chit $250 an hour.I think I will buy a drone!

Re: Drone
Lots on Amazon for less than what you would pay for an hour.
I think there might be a few posters who have drones and have posted video's they have done. One of them might want to make a few bucks for fun.
Lots on AliExpress if you can wait for it to arrive.

Re: Drone
What type of "drone" are you referring to?oldtrucker wrote:Another thing since were on the subject of drones...
Is a drone pilot really a pilot, or a drone operator...? And why do some drone 'pilots' wear flight suits?
Those that are in the armed forces? Because that is the uniform that they are required to wear, regardless of their duty or assignment.
Are you suggesting that civilian drone hobbyists wear a uniform with proper credentials and affiliations to a branch of the military?
Could any one of those that you refer to, just be a civilian dressed in camouflage clothing?
Why would any/either wear a "flight suit", if they are just sitting on the ground and operating a drone?

Just out of curiosity, what kind of "flight suits" do Cessna pilots wear?

I have a DJI Mavic Air that has a 1080P camera. All in it cost me about $750 used. It only had 35 minutes flight time. The pictures it takes are nothing short of phenomenal....absolutely gorgeous.alanjh595 wrote:Yeah !!! I know..... $1800 for a top of the line model, it would pay for it's self in 7 hours. Re: Drone
An aircraft must maintain an altitude of 500 feet above the surface, except over open water or sparsely populated areas. In those cases, the aircraft may not be operated closer than 500 feet to any person, vessel, vehicle, or structure.
"Notwithstanding" rule
Though specific altitudes are called as noted below - there is an over reaching general requirement to maintain sufficient altitude that if a power unit fails, an emergency landing without undue hazard to persons or property on the surface can be made. This may be significantly higher than 500ft or 1,000ft
500 ft rule
An aircraft must maintain an altitude of 500 feet above the surface, except over open water or sparsely populated areas. In those cases, the aircraft may not be operated closer than 500 feet to any person, vessel, vehicle, or structure.
1000 ft rule
An aircraft must maintain an altitude of 1,000 feet above the highest obstacle within a horizontal radius of 2,000 feet of the aircraft over any congested area of a city, town, or settlement, or over any open air assembly of persons.
