Need a lawyer

Post by legalseeker »

I am looking for a lawyer for a lawsuit against a neighbour who has harassed, intimidated, threatened to kill me, stalked me and my family, slandered me, beset my house, invaded my privacy, vandalized my property, encroached on my property, thrown waste on my property, and other matters of general nuisance and property damage. I have extensive video evidence of all these claims.

I have contacted every lawyer in Kelowna whose website mentions Civil Litigation but all have replied that this is not their area of practice.

As this is my first and only post, I don't have access to personal messages, so please don't post or reply here. If you can help, please contact [email protected] (not my real name for obvious reasons).

Hi there, you probably didn't have much luck with lawyers as these types of cases are multi facetted and often require more than just one civil suit to pursue with different parts of the courts. I can help you with getting the process going I sent you a private message. In the meantime record document journal and gather witness statements if you can. Something can be done keep your head up!. I private messaged you.

If every lawyer has declined to offer their services, there must be a reason.
Can you afford to pay what would likely be a very costly venture?
Are you expecting the work to be pro bono?
Perhaps you come across as being dramatic or embellishing the situation?
There is little likelihood of success?

These are just some possibilities and I am not trying to offend you. However, I have seen no situations where a person who was able to pay $300-500 per hour plus expenses being unable to find a lawyer to take their case. If you were willing to spend $10,000 on a retainer, that would just get you started. The real work would take you to triple or quadruple that, and then on from there dependent on how the neighbour reacts.

What are your actual damages? Remember, although we all watch and read media from the USA, our legal system isn’t as "lawsuit-happy" as theirs. Do you actually want to spend tens of thousands of dollars to deal with damages of a couple of thousand, plus aggravation?
