Propane refill

Post by vegas1500 »

Anywhere in Kelowna that will refill a 20lb tank as opposed to doing an exchange? Preferably closer to downtown

Dance as if no one's watching, sing as if no one's listening, and live everyday as if it were your last.

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.

If the tank isn't expired the Petro Can on Lakeshore by Mission Creek does refills. (Sorry - not exactly downtown though).

If your tank has expired, no one can do it legally. Not sure what your motive is, but is $20-30 for a new tank worth risking your safety?

Also as an FYI, the cost of buying already full replacement tank at PetroCan was only I think about $4-5 more than getting just a refill.

Fuelpro on Adams Court, fills re-certified bottles, or re-certify yours. I've dealt with them for years. great family. they do everything propane.

The date on the tank must be less than 10 years old or it will have to be replaced.

After one too many times waiting (and waiting) for some kid to drag his butt out and try and fill my tank, I have no problem driving a few minutes to deal with these guys.

10 years-old max (as per date stamp on bottle) to get refilled. If you can't read the date anymore, they won't refill it. I've had good luck at various Husky, Mohawk, Canadian Tire and Super Save. Maybe ask at the RV dealerships where they get it done, they deal with a lot of propane appliances .

Walmart now has automated machines that replace your old tank for a freshly filled one for $24.99. You don’t even have to go inside the store and wait for someone to help. :D

Great idea but they don't help when you have 30lb tanks.
